How to get here
By Car
All vehicle access to the site is via the New Askham Bar Park & Ride
By foot
You can use the walk-in entrance which is opposite Tesco Petrol Station.
By bus, cycle, wheelchair or mobility scooter
You can enter via the walk-in entrance. This is opposite Tescos, near the bus stop at the Moor Lane site and is clearly signposted.

- Please DO NOT turn up early as you may be turned away and asked to come back at your appointment time.
- Please bring your NHS letter or booking confirmation with you. Have your booking confirmation ready
- Please wear a face covering as you arrive and throughout your visit.
You will be directed to the right area when you arrive at the Vaccination Centre.
Your safety
The York Vaccination Centre will keep you safe from COVID-19 through a range of measures including cleaning and disinfecting and having social distancing in waiting areas.
Please also wear a face covering to your appointment.
Remember, the vaccine is only available from the NHS and is free of charge. The NHS will never ask you for details about your bank account or to pay for the vaccine.
If you receive a letter and already have an appointment booked to have your vaccine at this site or at your local GP service, you can choose to ignore the letter. There is nothing you need to do except turn up at your scheduled GP appointment.
About the coronavirus vaccine
You need 2 doses of the vaccine to get the best protection from the virus. Your second dose will be given up to 12 weeks after your first.

Some people may not be able to get this vaccine at the moment. If you have had bad allergic reactions in the past, it is important that you read all the guidance. You can also ask about it when you book, or discuss it with a health professional when you attend your appointment.
