Protected Learning Time (PLT) Events

Protected Learning Time (PLT) events are peer-led educational sessions for clinicians across the Vale of York and Scarborough, coordinated by Nimbuscare and funded by the Humber & North Yorkshire Health Partnership

These events provide valuable time away from day-to-day clinical responsibilities, allowing healthcare professionals to:

• Stay up to date with new clinical developments
• Understand changes to national guidance
• Explore best practice approaches
• Share knowledge and experiences with peers

At their core, PLT events are about improving patient care by investing in the ongoing education and professional development of the primary care workforce.

PLT sessions are held throughout the year and are continuously evolving to meet the changing needs of clinicians. Each event is designed with input from local healthcare professionals to ensure relevance and impact.

Nimbuscare works in close collaboration with the Integrated Care Board (ICB), providing end-to-end event facilitation, supported by our dedicated Clinical Services Team.
