Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

At Nimbuscare we are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels safe, seen and treated fairly.

We recognise diversity as a strength to drive more innovative and creative approaches to patient care. We promote equality and inclusion by removing barriers so that everyone has a fair opportunity to contribute and grow.

How we embody Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Nimbuscare-16

We are committed to upholding the principles of the Equality Act 2010, fostering a culture of respect and dignity for all individuals, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.

We recognise that the protected characteristics of sex and gender reassignment have distinct legal meanings. The term sex in the Equality Act refers to biological sex, while gender reassignment protects those who are proposing to, are undergoing, or have undergone a process to reassign their sex. Nimbuscare fully upholds both protections and is committed to ensuring compliance with the law while supporting an inclusive and respectful environment for all.

Our commitment includes proactively addressing discrimination and unconscious bias, while ensuring equal opportunities in recruitment, training, and employee development.

We support our leaders, managers, and staff in demonstrating the values of equality, diversity, and inclusion in their daily activities. Our goal is to equip our team with the knowledge needed to provide compassionate, inclusive care to all patients, and to create an environment built on mutual respect, sensitivity, and understanding.

What this means for Patient Care

Promoting a diverse, equal, and inclusive culture within Nimbuscare creates an environment where all patients, regardless of background or beliefs feel safe, heard and empowered in relation to their care.

We actively seek opportunities to engage with diverse communities to better understand their needs and experiences, ensuring that their voices help shape our policies, services, and practices.
