What is this service?
Extended Access is an extension of the general practice day.
Through the Extended Access service we can offer appointments in the evenings or on weekends. We provide a range of different clinicians and run a variety of different clinics for everything from GP appointments and blood clinics to cervical screening clinics, women’s health and long-term condition reviews.
Who can access this service?
Patients who request an appointment for the evening, or the weekend.

How to Access
If your GP practice is supported in their Extended Access appointments by Nimbuscare, you will be able to book an appointment by contacting your GP practice directly. Occasionally you will receive calls from Nimbuscare who support the practice with bookings when requested.
About the provider
Nimbuscare is a not-for-profit organisation that delivers primary health care services in the North of England. Nimbuscare is based in York and is owned by all the practices in the city, however they deliver services over a wider footprint.
