Our Community Care Centres are welcoming spaces where people can access health services, wellbeing support, and community activities all under one roof.
They are designed to bring health care services closer to people, to support in reducing health inequalities, and help people to live healthier, more independent lives.

- Local GP Practices
- York & Scarborough Teaching Hospital
- City of York Council
- Community and voluntary organisations
- Mental health services
Our Community Centres
Acomb Garth Community Care Centre
Acomb Garth is Nimbuscare’s main centre for delivering a wide range of health and wellbeing services. When patients are contacted by Nimbuscare on behalf of their GP practice for a face-to-face appointment, there is a good chance the visit will take place at Acomb Garth.

Askham Bar Community Diagnostic Centre
The Askham Bar Community Diagnostic Centre is run in partnership with York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. It is designed to help speed up the detection of serious health conditions and reduce waiting times for patients across York. The centre provides a wide range of diagnostic services including scans and imaging, blood tests, among others.
GPs will refer patients to this centre if they require any diagnostic test.
