We are pleased to introduce our Event Space.

Our competitively priced facilities are a new local option for our Members, System Partners, External Organisations and Charities seeking high-quality, flexible space within a modern environment.

As a not-for-profit organisation, every booking helps support local healthcare and community wellbeing.

Our Spaces

We offer two large event spaces that accommodate various room layouts catering for a maximum of 50 delegates. Lecterns, AV equipment, flipchart and whiteboard come as standard alongside a dedicated event facilitator. We also offer three smaller meeting rooms suitable for more intimate meetings or interviews with hot desk working options.

Room set-up options for the larger training rooms include:

  • Boardroom
  • Theatre (up to 50 delegates)
  • Classroom (up to 14 delegates)
  • U-shape
  • Cabaret (up to 40 delegates)

Full Event Facilitation

Our room hire service is fully supported by the Nimbuscare Events & Engagement Team, in addition to hiring event space the team can also support with the following:

  • Booking management and coordination
  • Event planning and delivery
  • Delegate registration and logistics
  • Agendas, programmes and materials
  • On-the day event facilitation

Location

Our Event Space is located at the Nimbuscare Head Office at: Gateway 1, Holgate Park Dr, Holgate, York YO26 4GG

  • Public Transport: Gateway 1 is a 20 min walk from York Railway Station and the centre of York.
  • Parking: Parking in York is generally limited however we do have a small number of spaces in a shared carpark as well as off road options. For all midweek, daytime events parking considerations will be shared in advance.

    For events taking place on evenings and at weekends, parking availability is typically not an issue. We have a small number of spaces dedicated to visitors who may need to park close to the building or require extra room.

Accessibility

We are committed to inclusivity and accessibility

  • Wide parking spaces close to the building with dropped curb access to the building
  • Wide access doors (due to security and Gateway 1 being a shared building, doors are not automatic however assistance will be provided)
  • Elevator / steps to Floor 1
  • Accessible and inclusive toilet facilities
  • Induction/hearing loop system
  • Supportive on-site team

Catering with Purpose

We support local catering suppliers who reflect our ethos.

Dietary requirements are fully accommodated where possible. Full due diligence is performed on all suppliers.

Accommodation Support

We have established relationships with local hotels, allowing us to:

  • Recommend nearby accommodation
  • Access favourable delegate rates
  • Support multi-day or residential events

Insurance & Assurance

  • Public Liability Insurance details are available upon request.
  • Clear terms and conditions for room hire are provided.
  • Robust governance and compliance frameworks in place.

We aim to respond in 24 hrs (excluding bank holidays and weekends).

Event space hire is available to hire Monday to Friday 08.00 – 21.00, Saturdays 08.00 – 17.00 excluding bank holidays.

We offer:

  • Half-day, full-day, evening and weekend options
  • Half and full day delegate packages

As a not-for-profit organisation, all income generated is reinvested into healthcare and community services.
