Nimbuscare begins 12-15 year old Covid vaccinations at Askham Bar Vaccination Centre
Nimbuscare is delighted to have been asked to support the NHS School Vaccination Programme in North Yorkshire and York. From later today (Friday 22 October) Covid vaccination appointments for 12-15-year olds at the Askham Bar York NHS Vaccination Centre will be available via the NHS National Booking System.

Please note walk-ins are not permitted for this age group. Pre-booked appointments only.
The Nimbuscare vaccination teams have been mobilised to support this service for the young people of this region, initially making more than 2,000 appointments available over the half term holiday at the Askham Bar NHS Vaccination Centre. Future dates and more appointments will be made available from November for this age group.
Prof Mike Holmes, chair of Nimbuscare, explained:
“Our Nimbuscare vaccination programme is well placed to support the vaccination of these young people and our teams are really pleased to have been called on to help with this important new cohort. We hope that young people in York and North Yorkshire will be reassured that we can offer a great service and will follow in the footsteps of their older colleagues to come and get their vaccine from us here at Askham Bar.”
These appointments will be bookable only and people are asked to attend as near to their appointment time as possible to avoid any waiting. We would also ask people to wrap up warm, be prepared for wet weather and drink plenty of fluids on the day.
People can book an appointment at the 12-15-year-old special weekday and weekend clinics which will commence on Saturday 23 October. Further options for late night weekday clinics are also being explored for busy working parents.
